Essay pages render a Discuss section backed by
Giscus and GitHub Discussions. The embed configuration
lives in src/lib/giscus.ts because repository IDs and category IDs are public
widget identifiers, not secrets.
Required GitHub setup:
A-F-V/personal-portfolio public.Announcements category because Giscus recommends an announcement
category so maintainers and the Giscus app can create discussions while
visitors can still comment. The root giscus.json restricts which page origins can load this repository’s
discussions, including the current alessandrofarace.com production domain and
the legacy alessandrofv.com redirect domain, and allows localhost for
development. See the Giscus
advanced usage guide
and GitHub’s
discussion category documentation.
You can start editing the page by modifying app/page.tsx. The page auto-updates as you edit the file.
This project uses next/font to automatically optimize and load Geist, a new font family for Vercel.
